Our Engagement Pictures Are Here!
Since we took our "pre" engagement pictures in the sunflowers, we decided to take our professional engagement pictures at our wedding venue. I think doing this is such a special idea because you can see yourselves at the same location before marriage and on your wedding day. It's also a plus that your venue will usually let you use the grounds for free!
In this shoot, I choose three different outfits (again). We decided to wear three different outfits again because our photographer suggested it. She wanted us to have a lot of pictures to chose from. Since there were so many to chose from in the sunflower pictures, I agreed! In this session, I wore three different dresses. Since we got really great pictures in a casual outfit in the sunflower field, I didn't want to wear a casual outfit again. Our photographer and I decided to move up the shoot date due to weather concerns. So because of that, I did my own hair and makeup. And I was okay with that. (Recommend to save money, don't recommend if you are not very good at it (like me).)
Outfit 1: Casual Dress- A dress that was ordered last minute due to a freakout where I had nothing to wear in hopes it would get here on time. The dress is from selfieleslie.com, it is the Laney Cutout Back Ruffle Detail Floral Dress White. [https://www.selfieleslie.com/laney-cutout-back-ruffle-detail-floral-dress-white] A little pricey but turned out to be cute. This was paired with booties from the Lauren Conrad collection at Kohl's. I wore a necklace given to me by my Mimi from Italy. Earrings throughout the shoot are studs from Altar'd State.
Outfit 2: Maxi Dress- This maxi dress was the Coral Dress in Ash from Joyfolie.com. It did run a little small and short but it as so nice in engagement pictures. This was paired with flats from Dillard's and barefoot, and the necklace form my Mimi
Outfit 3: White Dress- Also Ordered last minute from the same selfieleslie.com website. A white short dress with embroidery on the sleeves. It is the Yara Floral Embellished Fit and Flare Dress White [https://www.selfieleslie.com/yara-floral-embellished-fit-and-flare-dress-white]. I really loved this dress, it was perfect! I paired this dress with cowboy boots from Cavender's and booties from the Vera Wang collection at Kohl's.
Our Photographer is Breana Pulizzi. She is AMAZING. I was so worried that it was going to be awkward taking "romantic" pictures in front of someone you only met a couple of times.
