You are not a real Texan unless you take pictures of your kid in a Bluebonnet field!
It's Bluebonnet season in Texas and they are in full bloom. Bluebonnets are an annual wildflower and the state flower of Texas. They are along roadsides all over the state, mostly in Central and South Texas. When I was little I was always told that it is illegal to pick bluebonnets... I was lied to *shocked face*. I recently learned that it is not illegal to pick these beautiful flowers, but it is always encouraged to leave them alone for others to enjoy! So be safe and enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer down here my fellow Texans. Always make sure you pull off the road and do not trespass when you want to get a closer look or take pictures!
